Winter must haves!

So, winter time has come and I thought I could do a list of must haves for this holiday season. Let's get into it!

First, an essential skin care product for the winter would be face masks since our skin is suffering a lot this time of the year. My current favorites are the ones from Fruits&Passion and Glamglow. I chose them cause they are the most hydrating masks I've ever tried. It literally feels as if you put ten layers of moisturizing cream on your face .. or something like that. Anyways it feels great! For the lazy ones, I recommend the Fruits&Passion ones because they are basically just sheets that you apply on your skin. You don't even have to rinse it, you just put on the mask, you wait around 15 to 20 min, then you remove it and you massage the rest of the product into your skin. As for the Glamglow, you simply apply it as any other mask, and the moisture you will get out of it will last for a couple of days, depending on your skin type. Overall, I recommend both of these brands for the winter time.

An other one of my must haves would be glittery nail polish. It's the holidays, time to party and what screams party more than glitter? Nothing. I think it adds a nice glamour touch to your look with all the sparkles and all... Here are some of my favourites, as you may have noticed (or not) I love the Revlon brand but anything with glitter makes me happy this time of the year.

When it comes to scents, I like to keep it keep it fresh since there are already tons of delicious smells  around. I love the Victoria's Secret fragrances because they aren't too heavy but they still stay on for a good amount of time. My current favorite is the True Escape fragrance, I love how the smell is familiar but at the same time it's different from what I'm used to. (I know it doesn't really makes sense but let's be honest, when do I really make sense? Exactly.)

As a curly girl, one of my essentials is a curl enhancer. I use the L'Oréal's STUDIO LINE SILK & GLOSS CURLING SPRITZ . With all this dry weather, I really need all the hair products I can get to make my hair look descent and this spray really helps to add some shape.

Another product that helped me keeping my skin moisturized is the Sephora Acne-fighting, mattifying moisturizer. It's really light but still gives a deep hydratation to your skin.

During the holidays, I like to wear makeup most of the days since I actually have time to put some on  and a product I ended up using almost everyday is the tarte Lipsurgence lip gloss. It just gives your lips that ''my lip color but better'' look that I love with a little glossy effect to give an extra holiday feel to it.

A good face cleanser would be needed this time around since we need to wash out all the makeup and dirt that gets on our pretty faces. Also since there will be a lot of unhealthy eating and sleeping with makeup on  a good face cleanser is more than welcome. The one I use right now is he First aid Beauty one.

Winter, season of soar throats and runny noses.  My solution for those is a big cup of tea and some christmas movies. The tea that has helped me the most is the Four o'Clock herbal tea cold,. This one makes you feel better real fast. The only bad thing about it is its taste. I know, kind of a big thing but if you like black licorice you'll love it and if you don't, well try to swallow it all at once or something. I swear it'll make you feel better!

If you get tired after all the christmas shoping and you don't want to look like a mess on christmas party, I recommend this eye cream ( I was about to write ice cream.. it made me laugh.. I had to share.. it's late..). It gives a great hydratation and makes your eyes feel awake.

Finally, my last winter must have is the Dubsmash app if you haven't already downloaded it (really?), I seriously recommend it! It's just a fun app that allows you to record little videos of you lip-syncing some famous movie quotes and stuff like that. You can send those videos to your friends and family, it's just a nice way to make people around you laugh.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

My Current Favorite Candle!

I received this candle on a christmas party from Becky and I instantly fell in love with it. It's the Sandalwood Citrus from the White Barn collection at Bath & Body Works. It seriously smells so good so I thought I would share it with you. I feel like it smells a little bit like the Black Tie candle from Bath & Body Works. It smells like cologne mixed with citrus and summer and everything related with awesomeness basically! So if you haven't smelled it yet we'll what are you waiting for!!

Thanks for reading this! Comment down bellow what you think about this candle! xx

Hipsta please.

Being hipster is not only about wearing trendy clothes from urban outfitters and posting pretty profound tweets... It's also about the way you see the world and about MUSIC. Indie music is the most amazing thing on earth and I barely exaggerate! In this article I will present you the top 5 of artists that all hipster would love and list a lot of other songs at the end :)

5. Radiohead

Weird sound... Not sure I like all their albums but their style is pretty cool. Inspired by The Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd, Pixies as well as The Beach Boys, Charles Mingus, Alice Coltrane, Radiohead is taking every little details that they like from other style of music to make them theirs. My personal favorite album is Hail to the thief.

4. Neutral Milk Hotel

With their absolutely amazing album In the aeroplane over the sea, this band is maybe the last on this list but are probably one of the most beloved band in the ''hipster world''. It was the sixth most sold vinyl EP's in 2008 (so hipster).

3. Arcade Fire

Cannot pass by this band. A-MA-ZING. Coming back to the more classic indie rock style. Favorite song: Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) the first song on their first album, Funeral, but in general I prefer the album The Suburbs. (and also #proudtobecanadian)

2. Half Moon Run

Young band, their only album came out in 2012. AGAIN: #proudtobecanadian. Also in the indie folk/indie rock kind of vibes they may look ike all the other bands but they have their own little twist. Maybe it's the nix of all the voices together or the wonderful Devon Portielje's voice, maybe it's their relaxing but yet entertaining sounds, I don't know but I love em'. They opened for Mumford and Sons and Ciy and Colour (their are amazing too btw) which is really cool for them.

1. Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

I'm kinda in love with Alex Ebert... We are sooo going to get married! ;)
Seriously their music is incredible... Their 3 albums are perfect, every single song is better than the other but of course Home is my favorite. Each time I hear this song I just feel happy and in love! Cannot chose which album is my favorite though.

Of course there's always new albums or old ones not discovered yet so there will be other music chronicles coming up!
P.S.: I'm sorry of the over usage of the word hipster...

Maybelline Mascara Review

This is my review on the Rocket Express and the clump crusher from Maybelline New York. I like both of them but I prefer the Rocket Volum'Express because I feel like it is a little bit darker on my lashes and it gives more volume. But I do really like the Clump Crusher too  especially its brush. I hate clumps and with this mascara (but I think that it's mostly due to the brush) I don't have to struggle with them.

But I do prefer the Rocket Volum'Express! I feel like it gives a wider look to my eyes even tho my lashes are really really small! It also gives a fuller and thicker look to the lashes which I think is awesome!

These are my lashes without any mascara.. Pretty much inexistant!

Here are my lashes with two coats of the Clump Crusher

And here's my eye with two coats of the Rocket Volum'Express

Tell me what you think aout it in the comment section!

The perfect lazy night!

1. Go on your electronics!
Let's admit it, it's the first thing we do! Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and so much more. It's always an easy way to just relax and cut loose. I love to go trough my favourite blogs, watch some youtube videos or I go on online stores like www.net-a-porter.com or http://www.nastygal.com to see what new stuff they got.

2. Read your favorite magasines!!
It's always fun to see what's new this season, and what new style you could try. I also like to recreate the looks they show us but of course, I'll change it so it fits me.

3.Brownie in a mug!! xx
They're always delicious! I'm a really bad cook and this is a great recipe for me!! Plus, it's so simple!
You just need 4 tbsp of flour, 4 tbsp of sugar, 2 tbsp of cocoa, a dash of salt, 2 tbsp of vegetable oil, 2 tbsp of water and 1/3 tbsp of vanilla. You pour it all in a mug, you mix it up and the you put it in a microwave on high for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. And your done!

4. Read your favorite book!
Right now, I love the Beautiful Creatures series. I love reading books and discover a new world!

5.Wearing your pyjamas!!
If you wanna have a real lazy night, you gotta be comfy!! And what's better than wearing your pyjamas? Probably nothing!

6. Mannipedies!
We all love them and they're always fun to do! Lazy nights are also a good time to practice our technique for those who struggle with putting on nail polish. Especially on the right hand (unless you're left-handed). This time of the year, I like to put on some glittery and wintery colours. I know it's kind of early, but I like to get in the christmas spirit as soon as possible!!

7. Candle light!
I feel like those nights are a great time to light on my candles cause I don't use them frequently. I love the lightning they give to my room it's so relaxing and the smell is amazing!

8. Watch your favourite movies
For girly nights, I like classics like MeanGirls or white chicks. Those movies are simply hilarious!

And that's it for my perfect lazy night! Hope you enjoyed this post!

Review on Lise Watier Makeup

For my Prom night, I was searching makeup that  will last longer than my usual product. I went to a drugstore and the makeup consultant suggested me the brand Lise Watier. Even if the products are a bit expensive, I know they are going to be good for years! I think it's better to buy high quality product than cheaper product that will not last.

  • First, I bought a foundation and concealer duo for 45$. I wore it during 12 hours and I can say that it lasts. Even if I was sweating, it gives me a perfect coverage. I really appreciate the fact that there are a concealer and a mirror to make alterations.

  • I also bought a pencil. It has a metallic finish that sparkles the eyes. Usually pencils don't stay on my eyelid very long but not this time! I added the glitter eyeliner (the next product) on it and it was really shinning! It was 19$.

  • For the first time, I bought an eye glitter liner and I was really happy. I never applied so easily an eyeliner! I can assure you that you will have flawless eyes. This product was also 19$.

  • I bought two eye shadows to do an ombré effect on my eyelids. It has a creamy  texture and it's easy to apply with your fingertips. It has antioxidant properties from Labrador tea extract. They were 24$ each.
  • Magie noire
    Magie blanche

    • Finally, my favourite product, a lip gloss. It provides comfort and it's not  sticky. I LOVE the LED light that lights up everytime I open the gloss. There is also a mirror so I can apply it whenever, wherever! It was 22$.
